Woodman Point aka ''Woodies'' Beach 2 is traditionally a windsurfing location. Kitesurfers are welcomed to share the water, but are advised to give right of way to windsurfers. This is a great location for intermediate and advanced riders. Beginners are recommended to use Beach 1 instead. This location offers protected flat water conditions that are suitable for freestyle, and occasionally, small waves that can be used as ramps for jumping, or as a good intro to wave riding. Some areas can be shallow with sharp reef.
Please note: this location guide is a guide for kitesurfing spots in Perth and other parts of Western Australia. This is NOT a list of where our school operates from. KiteBud conducts lessons ONLY from Pinnaroo Point in Hillarys.
